Sol & Company
Recommended
for
Kindergarten thru Third Grade
The Principal narrator of "Sol & Company" is Sol, a character representing the Sun. Sol, with his faithful sidekick Astro-Nomy, takes the audience on a tour of the solar system. All of the planets are discussed in their order. Their sizes and orbital periods are compared to that of our home planet, Earth. You will also get to see how the planets appear to move over time in our sky. Asteroids, comets, and meteors are also mentioned. Throughout the program, the audience gets the chance to sing along with “Family of the Sun”, a song about the planets. View the words to the song here. Hear the song here (you will be redirected to a different website). You can download the song by Right Clicking and selecting Save Target As here.
The program is lighthearted, friendly, and musical.
