The Little Star That Could

Preschool thru Third Grade

"The Little Star That Could" is a program specially designed for preschool through perhaps third grade.

The program is written in a "story" format with a cast of characters to represent various types of stars as well as the planets in our solar system.

 

Students will be introduced to:

Differences between stars, planets, and moons;

Star colors and temperatures;

Lifecycles of stars;

Stars such as our Sun are single while others exist in groups of two or more;

The characteristics of the planets in our solar system;

 

Kentucky Core Content Version 4.1:

SC-EP-2.3.3 – The motions of the planets are demonstrated.

SC-EP-4.6.2 – The Sun’s light and heat are necessary to sustain life on Earth.
