• The Starlab is an inflatable 16’ planetarium that can be setup in school gyms or any room large enough with at least a 12’ ceiling. The students go inside the planetarium to view stars, constellations, and planets. It is large enough to accommodate about 27 people. We recommend a space that is at least 24’x24’.

• Part of this Astronomy lesson is done outside the Starlab with students actively participating to learn the size and scale of the solar system, as well as motions of the earth and moon. The students will then enter the Starlab and learn about stars and constellations. These lessons are designed primarily for 3rd thru 5th graders, but we are planning to expand to the other grades in the future.

• Each lesson is approximately 1 hour and we will present 4 lessons per day. The cost for this program to come to your school is $375.00 per day which includes travel costs to anywhere within EKU's service region.
